Astro-Turf Pitch Development

In 2023, the school was delighted to be awarded a grant of €50,000 under the Clár Grant Scheme towards the development of a multi-purpose games area at the school. What began as a dream, is now a reality! The school now has a state of the art all weather astro turf pitch together with a tarred running track. These new facilities have ensured that the children get to play outdoors everyday, irrespective of the weather. 

The final total cost of the overall project was €110,403.59. Funding raised from grants, contributions, donations and fundraising events, reduced the deficit to €2,727.92. Our tremendous PA, who did trojan work fundraising then donated a further €1000 from their own funds in June 2024 leaving our outstanding pitch deficit at just €1,727.92. An unbelievable achievement for a small school.
